Our story
Built on experience, focused on residential work
Meares Consulting has been providing structural and civil engineering services since the early 1990s. In that time the practice has completed more than 10,000 projects, from single-house footings and steel beams to stormwater systems for new subdivisions.
We specialise in residential construction. That focus means we understand what builders need on site, what certifiers and councils look for, and how to keep designs practical and cost-effective for homeowners.

Patrick Meares
BE, Grad Dip LGE, MIEAust, CPEng
Patrick founded Meares Consulting and leads its engineering team. He brings more than 20 years of structural and stormwater engineering experience, and a postgraduate qualification in local government engineering. His work centres on residential structural design, stormwater drainage and site inspections.
